AMENDMENT I

FREEDOM:
  • SPEECH- you can say whatever you want and can't be punished for your opinion.
  • PRESS- being able to write in a newspaper, for example, and express personal opinions.
  • RELIGION- you can choose your own religion to a certain extent. meaning you can't have a religion that goes against any laws.
  • PEACEABLE ASSEMBLY- your right to protest.
  • PETITION THE GOVERNMENT- for example, people sent a petition around Honesdale to change the one-way streets back to the way they were.
